Overview
Volume Control provides easy access to MusicBeeβs volume settings without leaving your editor. Adjust playback volume or quickly mute audio when needed.
Features
Volume Adjustment
Adjust the playback volume from 0% to 100%.
- Visual Control: Interactive volume slider in the Now Playing View
- Smooth Adjustment: Real-time volume changes as you drag the slider
- Precise Control: See the exact percentage while adjusting
Mute / Unmute
Quickly toggle mute state for the audio output.
- Button: π Mute button in the Now Playing View
- Toggle: Click to mute, click again to unmute
- Visual Feedback: Button appearance changes when audio is muted
Common Tasks
Adjusting Volume
- Locate the volume slider in the Now Playing View
- Click and drag the slider to adjust volume
- Volume updates in real-time in MusicBee
Muting Audio
- Click the π Mute button in the Now Playing View
- To unmute, click the button again
- Keyboard Shortcut (if configured): Press your assigned key
Setting Specific Volume Level
For precise volume control:
- Click on the volume slider at a specific position
- The volume will jump to approximately that percentage
- Fine-tune by dragging the slider
Volume States

|---|---|
| Muted | Audio output is silenced |
| Low Volume | 1-33% of maximum volume |
| Medium Volume | 34-66% of maximum volume |
| High Volume | 67-100% of maximum volume |
Tips & Tricks
- Quick Mute: Use the mute button to temporarily silence audio during calls or notifications
- Memory: Your last volume setting is remembered between sessions
- Fast Adjustment: Hold and drag the slider for continuous volume changes
- Sync: Volume changes in the extension immediately affect MusicBee playback
Troubleshooting
Volume slider not responding?
- Ensure youβre connected to MusicBee
- Try clicking the Refresh button
- Check that MusicBee is running
Volume changes not working?
- Verify the MusicBee Remote Plugin is enabled
- Check your system audio settings
- Ensure MusicBee has permission to adjust audio
Mute button not working?
- Check your connection to MusicBee
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
- Restart MusicBee if necessary
